The beach in summer is great. It's way degrees cooler than outside the beach. It's hopping with activity, waves and sun. But it's not my favorite. The sand is too hot, sometimes it's just pure lava you can't step on it. The blistering sun is unforgiving. By the time you walk back to your car you are so hot and surrounded by sand that sticks to you, sweat that's dripping from you and the heat from other cars not to mention you are thirsty again. Not my favorite.
But in the Fall it's. Perfect. The beaches here are so clean. The ocean is always a surprise, huge waves, low tide, perfect calm. You never really know what to expect. The sun is bright enough to lighten your load. Warm enough to keep away a chill on a windy day. Cool enough to be able to walk for miles and go exploring. Perfect for fishing. Perfect for sand castles. Perfect for picnics.
